Paresh Nath Pandey

When Paresh Nath Pandey, a Constable of the Traffic Department was crossing Brabourne Road at 8.15 in the morning of 17th November 2003, he never realized that he was crossing on to the other side of life. A rowdy C-route bus coming from Howrah hit him in full speed. The injured Constable was immediately deported to the Medical College where he was declared dead. The killer vehicle was later confiscated.

Debnarayan Sutradhar

Traffic constable Debnarayan Sutradhar was handling the crossroads at Alipur Road near Woodlands Nursing Home as a part of his regular duty on 6.3.2003. A rushing bus numbered WB-04A-1320 suddenly turning wild, hit a Tata Sumo numbered WB-02F-3708, which in turn loosing its balance knocked down the cop without any alarm. He was immediately removed to S.S.K.M. Hospital where he was declared dead by the attending doctor.

Dhananjoy Garai

While Traffic Constable Dhananjoy Garia was performing duty at the crossing of Mahatma Gandhi Road and Rabindra Sarani crossing on 31-01-2004, a speeding taxi numbered WB04B-9404 hit him in full speed. The injured Constable was immediately deported to the Medical College Hospital and subsequently Calcutta Medical Research Institute, Kolkata where he expired on 02-02-2004.

All the above were very sincere and dutiful members of Kolkata Traffic Police family. Their untimely departure is deeply mourned by Kolkata Traffic Police.
